Do tou know this "Butterflies taste with their feet!"
Yes, you all think we’ve gone crazy because everyone’s seen pictures of a butterfly unfurling its tubelike proboscis into a flower. That organ is indeed used for feeding and tastin...but not all species have proboscises, and the majority of the tasting is done through sense organelles on the butterfly’s feet anyway. However, a butterfly’s most sensitive organelles are found on their antennae. These structures enable some species to detect pheromone molecules over distances of a few miles!
