Vado Wants Justin Bieber For "Speaking In Tungs" Remix

Harlem diddy-bop meets Canadian kiddie pop, as Vado seeks "Shawty Maine" for an official remix.

Pop singer Justin Bieber made his way into Hip Hop courtesy of a “Baby” remix with Ludacris as well as a “Runaway Love” remix with Raekwon and Kanye West. Bieber has since logged studio time with Dr. Dre and been endorsed by the likes of Snoop Dogg and Drake. And now, UN member and Dipset affiliate Vado would like to use the 16-year-old crooner to boost his mainstream profile. A video of Bieber rhyming over Vado and Cam’ron’s “Speaking in Tungs” has Vado eyeing an official collaboration.

“We need to keep his verse for the remix!” Vado told the New York Daily News. “We might finish the remix this weekend, and let Justin go first. I’m definitely going to contact him.”

Vado hasn’t ruled out returning the favor by unofficially remixing one of Bieber’s tracks—so far Bieber has three singles within the top 20 of Billboard’s Hot 100 this year. Bieber’s “Speaking in Tungs” viral video has amassed over 300,000 views since being posted on Twitter yesterday.

“I was shocked!” Vado added. “He killed it! He sounded like [Notorious] B.I.G. When I seen it on Twitter, I didn't believe it.”

T.I.'s To Return To Prison For Probation Violation

A federal judge hands down an 11-month sentence to T.I. for violating various terms of his probation.

Thursday, when asked about his role in preventing an Atlanta man from jumping from a 22-story building, T.I., said “I don't expect this to have any different impact on any of my circumstances.” It’s not clear if he was correct or not, as U.S. District Judge Charles Pannell Jr. ordered him to return to prison for 11 months for violating the terms of his probation. TMZ reports one of the officers from Wednesday’s suicide attempt testified on T.I.’s behalf.

After his September 1 arrest in California, T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, was charged of committing three violations of his supervised prison release: testing positive for opiates, possessing ecstasy, and associating with a convicted felon. A probation officer originally recommended 14 months of prison time for the Grammy award winning rapper, but lawyers for T.I. contended that such sentencing guidelines were for violent career criminals. The aforementioned argument was made on the basis that Tip’s prior conviction for assaulting a Florida police detective does not qualify as a violent felony.
T.I. is expected to appeal the case and remain free on bond until he is either sentenced or the charges overturned through the appeal process.

In 2007, Venezuela created its own time zone.

This new time zone set clocks across the country back half an hour! The reason for the change, according to Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, is so more citizens will wake up earlier and the productivity of the nation as a whole will improve. However, it is much more likely that Chavez merely wanted Venezuela to be in a different time zone than the United States.

The ability to roll your tongue is inherited genetically.

The ability to roll your tongue is inherited genetically.

The percentage of the human population that has this skill ranges from 65 to 81 percent. A slightly higher percentage of females can do this than males.

The ability to roll one's tongue is a genetic trait that historically has been used to demonstrate the concepts of dominant and recessive traits in classrooms. However, the dominant nature of the "tongue-rolling gene" has been disproved, and is no longer an acceptable example to teach genetics in the classroom.

TAHADHARI KWENU AKINA DADA

Some hair bands manufactured in China are made of recycled condoms.

Supposedly the condoms are unused rejected ones, but it's not clear whether or not they were repurposed after having served their originally intended function. In that case, this could lead to the spread of disease.

According to government regulations, the prophylactics (technical term for condoms) should have been sent to a plastics factory and broken down first. Instead, the rubbers were just inserted directly into the center of the hair bands in their original state. When some women took their hair bands apart, they found out what they were made of.

In 1923, 60% of of Haiti was covered in trees; now only 2% of the country is forested.

Deforestation across the nation increased dramatically after Hurricane Hazel struck in 1954 and continues to this day. There has also been little concern for reforestation by the government. As a result, an estimated 15,000 acres of Haitian topsoil is washed away annually!
